In a historic evening for Moroccan football, Achraf Hakimi and Ghizlane Chebbak were honored as the 2025 CAF Men’s and Women’s Players of the Year, respectively, at the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Awards ceremony held in Rabat.

Achraf Hakimi, the dynamic right-back for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and the Moroccan national team, clinched the CAF Men’s Player of the Year award following a stellar season. Hakimi played a pivotal role in PSG’s successful campaign, contributing to their Ligue 1 title and their maiden UEFA Champions League victory. His consistent performances and leadership on the field have solidified his reputation as one of Africa’s premier football talents.
