Super Eagles Squad Announced for Crucial World Cup Qualifiers

Nigeria’s Super Eagles have announced their 23-man squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Benin Republic. Head Coach Eric Chelle has selected a strong team featuring captain William Ekong, goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali, defenders Bright Osayi-Samuel and Calvin Bassey, midfielders Alex Iwobi and Wilfred Ndidi, and forwards Victor Osimhen and Simon Moses.

The squad includes notable returns such as defender Semi Ajayi, who recovered from injury, France-based Terem Moffi, and former junior international Olakunle Olusegun.

The Super Eagles will face Lesotho at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane, South Africa on October 10, before taking on Benin Republic in Uyo on October 14.
