The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) has officially unveiled the new trophy for the TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN), PAMOJA 2024. The launch event featured three of Africa’s most celebrated football icons: Victor Wanyama (Kenya), Denis Onyango (Uganda), and Mrisho Ngasa (Tanzania).
The new trophy boasts a sleek and contemporary design, blending gold and silver elements to represent the prestige and rising stature of the tournament. A central feature of the design is a series of 54 lines encircling the trophy, each representing one of the continent’s member associations. At its core lies a map of Africa, symbolizing the competition’s pan-African character.
The design embodies the tournament’s values of unity, diversity, and progress, with each line representing the unique journey of African football. The trophy stands as a bold symbol of the competition’s evolution and its enduring contribution to the growth of football on the continent.
The TotalEnergies CAF CHAN, PAMOJA 2024 will be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania from August 2-30, 2025. This highly anticipated tournament promises to showcase the best of African football, with teams from across the continent competing for the coveted trophy.
