As Team Edo increases in Gold and Silver with a total of 68 medals (12 Gold, 32 Silver and 24 Bronze), the heartbeat team has shown class and remained consistent in boxing as four athletes have cruized to the finals of the combat sport.
On Sunday ,Titiloye Kabira (51kg),Lazarus Desmond (52kg),Raheem Ridwan (63.5kg) and Emmanuel Chukwuka (80kg) were all confirmed Gold and Silver medals hopefuls after penelbeating their opponents to cruise to the finals, scheduled for Monday.
In football (male),team Edo defeated Rivers 1-0 at the Uyo Township stadium to secure the finals ticket against the host state Akwa who triumphed over Imo 2-1 at the semifinals to book the fonals tickets.
