The Nigeria Aquatics Federation has concluded the Level 1 Swimming Coaches Certification Course, which took place from March 12th to 15th, 2025, at the National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos.
The event had 43 coaches from across the federation in attendance who were filled with excitement due to the rigorous training exercises they were put through. The new techniques and equipment they learnt.
The President of the Federation Chinonye Daphey Aliyu, who was present at the event said that she is satisfied with the outcome of the training stating it will improve the standard of Coaching and nature grassroots talents across the Nation.

According to her the four-day program has provided participants with essential knowledge in modern coaching techniques, water safety, stroke mechanics, and training methodologies.
The federation expressed gratitude to its partners, including the National Sports Commission, for their support in making the program a reality. Insisting that this is just the beginning of More to come.
The Facilitators and Trainers include Dr. Odewumi, Mr. Jimi Adebanyo and Mr. Adeyemi Adeyinka.
Also in Attendance was Mr Nseobong Jesemiel the Chairman of the Technical Department, Mr Jonathan Chuka Ifeama who represents the South East and the General secretary of Nigeria Aquatic Federation Mr Taiwo Oriss.
