Nasarawa United Football Club has announced the mutual termination of Technical Director Kabir Dogo’s contract, effective immediately.
According to a statement released by the club, the decision was made after a thorough review of the team’s performance in the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League Season, which fell short of expectations.
Despite efforts from the coaching staff and players, results did not improve, prompting the club to make a change.
The club expressed gratitude to Coach Dogo for his commitment and hard work during his tenure, and Coach Dogo reciprocated by thanking the management, staff, players, supporters, and fans, while wishing the team the best.
In light of the club’s precarious situation, former Chief Coach of the Super Eagles, Salisu Yusuf, has been appointed as the new Technical Director, effective immediately.
Coach Yusuf, a CAF ‘A’ licensed coach, brings an impressive coaching CV, having worked with clubs and national teams in Nigeria.
The club assured its supporters and fans of its commitment to improving performance and competing at the highest level of club football in the country.
“We appreciate your continued support and understanding during this period of transition,” the club stated.
