The President of the Confédération African Football (CAF), Dr. Patrice Motsepe, will embark on a three-nation tour of Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda, from 19-20 December 2024. The visit comes ahead of the TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024, which will be jointly hosted by the three nations in February 2025.
During his visit, Dr. Motsepe will meet with Governments, Football Leadership, and Local Organising Committees from the three countries to discuss preparations for the tournament. The schedule of activities and meetings includes visits to the stadiums and training sites currently undergoing renovations.
Dr. Motsepe’s visit follows the second inspection tour of the three host nations conducted by a CAF delegation in November. The delegation inspected various stadiums, training sites, hotels, airports, and other facilities to ensure readiness for the tournament.
The CAF President’s three-nation tour schedule is as follows:
- Thursday, 19 December: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
- Friday, 20 December (morning): Nairobi, Kenya
- Friday, 20 December (afternoon): Kampala, Uganda
This historic edition of CHAN marks the first time three nations will jointly host the tournament, showcasing the collaborative spirit of East African football.
