In line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and the National Sports Commission’s vision for global best practices, the Nigeria Rugby Football Federation (NRFF) has appointed Babatunde Adeluola as its Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Babatunde, a University of Ibadan graduate with a degree in Economics, brings extensive banking experience from United Bank for Africa (UBA), Ecobank, and Polaris Bank. He transitioned to sports in 2022, consulting on international sporting events.
“I’m committed to fostering rugby’s growth in Nigeria,” Babatunde said. “My goal is to build on the momentum and ensure Nigerian rugby achieves global recognition.”
The NRFF expects Babatunde’s strategic insight, financial expertise, and passion for sports to enhance the federation’s operations. His focus will be on talent development, corporate sponsorships, and positioning Nigeria as a force in African rugby.
