This anticlimax and shenanigans happening at the ongoing presidential election petition court right in the period of power transition is another covert attempt to derail citizens from the REAL issue – governance, accountability etc.
Presidential tribunals turning to epic comedy centre with each actor coming up with different toxic and embellish scripts while taking turns to exhibit their derangement.
After the upheaval we experienced during the last general elections across the country, a discerning heart would expect us to learn one or two things with sober reflection. But, rather picking the pieces and close ranks, the major gladiators seem poised to exacerbate the already tense situation and decimate each other through their actions, inaction, deed and misdeeds at the ongoing court proceedings.

A true democracy must be built on the threshold of justice, fairness, equality and the ability to appropriately attend to dissenting voices without intimidation or unjust persecution. But here we are, the dissidents appear more confused than their acclaimed oppressors which has navigated and plunged the situation into total abyss.

Legality can never be built upon illegality. Across all the political spectrum there’s a need for retrospective and sober reflection. Is this the democracy Nigeria deserves? Is this the best of political parties we can offer? Aren’t we more intelligent and politically savvy than what we’re dishing out as political stewardship? Are we so vindictive, strut, livid and so obsessed with the politics of total conquest?
Have we not learnt anything new or we only conveniently chose the destructive path?

l
Nigeria democracy shall thrive either by covert or overt intervention.
God bless Nigeria.
