Seyi Johnson, Chief Executive Officer of Brussels Sports Management Limited was today, Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja elected as the President of the Wheelchair Basketball Federation of Nigeria.
Nine of the eleven constitutional delegates were present at the Media Centre, MKO Abiola National stadium, Abuja where the election was held.
Seyi Johnson got the mantle after all nine delegates voted in his favour to mount the temple of leadership in the Federation for the next four years.
He comes onboard to replace former President, General Emico Eruwa.
Born in Lagos, Mr. Seyi Johnson came into limelight under the tutelage of former Commissioner for youth and Sports in Ogun State and Managing Director of Nilayo Sports Management Limited (NSML), Chief Bukola Olopade.
Recall that Chief Bukola Olopade was at a point the President of Wheelchair Basketball Federation of Nigeria.
Working with NSML, Mr. Seyi Johnson has consistently worked as project manager on the Prestigious Access Bank Lagos City Marathon, as well as other sport events across Nigeria.
Mr Seyi Johnson’s company, Brussels Sports, in 2022 floated a road race specially designed for women tagged OGUN WOMEN RUN.
