Organizers of the Optima Energy Gold Cup have expressed their sincere thanks to management and staff of Optima Energy Nigeria LTD, Honourable Kunle Soname, Barrister Churchill Oliseh, partners and clubs, following the successes recorded in the 10th edition of the preseason tournament.
Remo Stars became the first team to win a back-to-back Optima Energy Gold Cup title after they defeated derby rivals Shooting Stars in yet another final, 4-2 on penalties at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne.
The Sky Blue Stars who won One Million Naira (#1,000, 000) as prize money and 3SC who went away with half a million Naira for coming second have all been credited their monies courtesy Optima Energy.
